Dennis H. Rowe, pastor/prophet and founder of The Bread of Life Ministries of Maryland, Inc. (BOLM), in Fort Washington, Maryland was born August 15, 1960 and is a native of Battlesboro, North Carolina. In 1964, Pastor Rowe moved to Washington, D.C. and attended DC public Schools. He is the loving son of Lucille Coleman and the late James Anthony Rowe, the dedicated husband of Minister Alva Braxton-Rowe, the blessed father of four children, Benitta, Ikea, Desmond, and Dominic. Pastor Rowe is currently employed with the District of Columbia Public Schools System serving twenty two years as a Building and Grounds Supervisor. In 1985, as a gatekeeper in the house of God, Pastor Rowe accepted the saving grace of Jesus Christ. During his spiritual journey a period of preparation took place...in 1988 he accepted the call to teach and evangelize at The Star of Bethlehem Church of God in Christ in Washington, D.C. This prophetic work was the first stage of a far greater call to pastoral ship.
On August 25, 1991, Pastor Rowe was solemnly and publicly set apart and ordained to the work of the Gospel Ministry by the Ordaining Council of the Greater Church of Deliverance, Capital Heights, Maryland under the leadership of Bishop Morris E. Tucker. On July 19, 2003, a prophet was born. Pastor Rowe was consecrated and ordained as Prophet by the General Board of Greater Church of Deliverance International, Inc. in For Pierce, Florida by Bishop Morris E. Tucker to preach, teach, and do evangelistic work for our Lord Jesus Christ thus becoming the Pastor of Greater Church of Deliverance in Capital Heights, Maryland. Pastor Rowe is definitely a man on a mission from God...through God's grace he has been blessed to accomplish the following:
Grateful for the many years of preparation...in 2007 the year of completion, Pastor Rowe gave birth to a ministry, and by the grace and guidance of God, he began to build The Bread of Life Ministries of Maryland, Inc...a vision given to him in the year of 2000, it was during this period where spiritual guidance was needed and God seeing the need granted Pastor Rowe a mentor by the name of Bishop C. Anthony Muse of The Ark of Safety Christian Church, Upper Marlboro MD along with the assistance of Bishop Robert E. White of New Hope Baptist Church, Forestville, MD. Under their guidance and nurturing The Bread of Life Ministries was blessed. In May of 2007, The Bread of Life Ministries held its' first worship service in the basement of Pastor Rowe's residence. Five months later in October of 2007 the ministry moved to Skyline Elementary School in Suitland, MD for a period of 4 months. On September 22, 2007, (BOLM) was declared by Bishop C. Antony Muse our Bishop in the Lord's Church and our Spiritual covering (The Ark of Safety Christian Church) that the Bread of Life Ministries of Maryland Inc., be duly constituted and organized for the glory of God, for the proclamation of the Gospel, and for the service of humanity. February of 2008 the year of new beginnings, the destination then lead the Bread of Life Ministries to it's present place of worship...a beautiful edifice called "Chestnut Oaks"...but the best is yet to come"!
Our driven purpose is to strengthen the saved and reach the lost as Pastor Rowe puts it "by any means necessary". As followers of Christ, our lives are committed to bringing His teachings to every nation within this generation and generations to come.
